The Black Forrest is so huge, that you can never really say that you've done it all. However, and since the day was still young, we managed to get lost a few times, intentionally, most of these, really! You see, the small roads are so twisty, so nice, so... so... so, we really were heading south in General, with an eye towards Basle.

The small villages with the low speed limits allowed us to take a breath, exchange a few words on the Alan radios, and then twist/smash the throttle again on the next set of twisties!

We saw this little lake. We drove a dirt road with NO signs, took a couple of pics, and then Pavlos got the Miata slightly sideways for the first and only time in this WHOLE trip!!!!!

At Kniebis we stopped at this doll-like hotel-restaurant for lunch.

After Freibourg we hit the Autoroute.

Close to Gottard tunnel, and actually close to our end of the day, I realized I had no front brake at all. We stopped, I refilled the front brake tank with Aral Dot5, and we proceeded to Wasen.

Talk about a million or two of dead flies! Poor creatures! Sorry!

Back to the start of the trip
Next: Andermatt and the 3 passes!
