Part 2/2

The ride to Antwerp was uneventful, even boring... but short... just 220km or so, of motorways. Thank God Carlo lead us through the rebuilt Antwerp ring, so we didn't lose any time at all.

We first stopped at the Cathedral. Of course we parked on the sidewalk! Greek-style!

We had lunch at the 11th Commandmend. Excellent!

We walked a bit in the small streets. Pascal and Nelly left to continue their vacation in Scotland.

Later on Caratz cooked his lovely chickens (let me not forget to ask the recipe!). His face on the right pic was after I reminded him of the... herring!

Meanwhile Pavlos followed Gabi, and they did a big tour around Holland before leaving for Antwerp.

They stopped at that Hippo place again, for lunch, this time.

They found another group of bikers... Took pics of little birds...

...took a few postcard pics... waved Dieter goodbye.

They arrived safely in Antwerp...

Tommy and Pavlos practiced a little on the PS2: First it was Greece vs Portugal, then they decided to fight Belgium vs Greece. I'm not sure who won, but I know they had huge fun!

In the evening we went to the Fensies, had a delightful dinner (and with Carlo's chicken) and watched the Greek Team win the Euro 2004!!!!!!!!!!!

Later, in the night, at around 11 pm, we left and headed towards Antwerp center to see if there were any Greeks celebrating. However, everything was closed, even the Cafe Frappe! Shame, Greeks!

Back to the start of the trip

Next day: Kerpen, Germany.
